seawards created the topic: Bluebells
The Bluebells are starting to poke their heads through the soil, and I anticipate them to make a full appearance very soon now.
There is evidence of more appearing where once there were none.
It won't be carpets full, but more than enough to view and appreciate once fully out.
If possible, please avoid treading where you can see the numerous new growth poking through. Also there are wild flowers making an appearance.
There is so much more sunlight getting deep into the wood now, and will hopefully see any dormant seeds etc. make an entrance into the world.
Still early days, but with some regular maintenance, we hope to see the Wood flourishing in the coming years.
Paul is indisposed at the moment, and we'd love to see anyone with a chainsaw help to cut down some manageable trees, and cut up a few fallen ones, nothing too strenuous!!.......contact me on

Enjoy the now more Family friendly Wood.

PS......Ron Simpson is setting up a forum for walkers, and would love to hear from anyone who is into "Walks" along many of the Footpaths in and around Fairlight. It should prove informative for anyone who already regularly walks the footpaths or those contemplating doing so.
See his post on another thread here.
