Do you know someone who is blind or visually impaired?

'BE MY EYES' is an app that connects blind & visually impaired with
sighted helpers via a live video connection. It was launched Jan 2015
and currently has over ten times more volunteers waiting to help, than
blind/partially sighted users.

How does it work?
A blind person requests assistance in the 'Be My Eyes' app. (Not yet available to android users).  It could be a simple challenge like knowing the expiry date on a milk carton, or it could be navigating new surroundings.
The volunteer helper receives the request for help and a live video connection is established. From the video, the volunteer can help the
blind person by answering the question asked. If the volunteer is not free, the call is passed on to another volunteer.  It's that simple.
If you can see....look at bemyeyes.org then spread the word!
