Dear Resident,

"Cranford" - Fairlight Players
Tickets for Friday and Saturday
Fairlight Village Hall

There are still tickets available for "Cranford" today (Friday @ 7.30pm) and tomorrow (Saturday @ 2.30pm & 7.30pm), though Saturday evening is nearly fully booked.

Thursday's performance was very well-received and the cast and crew are to be congratulated. A photograph and an article appear in both the Hastings and Rye Observers at page 68.

Cranford is based on the famous book by Mrs Gaskell and was made into a highly successful BBC TV series. It is set in 1830 in an imaginary Cheshire town at a time of social and technological change. The ladies of the town (with only a little help from the men) cope with life, loves, losses and social change with humour and compassion. There are many very funny episodes.

Tickets are available from Fairlight Post Office and Stores. If you are out-of -town you may phone 01424-814178 and we shall reserve you seats. They are only six pounds each, and there is a bar at the evening performances.

Tickets are also available on the door subject to availability. (Please note Saturday evening is nearly fully booked)

Regards,

Andrew Mier
