Dear Fairlight Residents,

We're pleased to inform all Fairlight residents that Parkhurst Cricket Club will be holding our 1st home game at the Wood Field recreation ground next Sunday (11th June). The game is due to start at 2pm and club members will be at the ground from late morning for pitch and tea preparation.

All residents are more than welcome to come up to watch, but please be aware we do use real cricket balls. Anyone planning to be in  attendance or planning to use the other facilities at Wood Field will need to be aware that whilst the game is in progress nobody should walk across the pitch, as the balls can travel at quite a speed and may cause injury if they hit someone.

We make every effort to cover all areas of the pitch when fielding, but ask that anyone in attendance pays attention when play is in progress and doesn't sit with their backs to the field. This is to help avoid incidents where spectators are struck by the ball when hit by a batsman.

Thank you and we hope to you there next Sunday.

Russell Barker - Parkhurst Cricket Club Captain.
