WE NEED YOUR HELP
Some of you will be aware of the battle we’ve been fighting with Southern Water over the past three years over sewage flooding in the Lower Waites Lane area. We have finally won the first battle and it should result in a far better system for Fairlight and right down to Rye Harbour in time.
Part of the remedy involves a lot of work to understand the groundwater movements in our whole village and surrounding land.
This is where you come in……….
We need to identify every spring, regularly damp area, any tanks, and wells (used or sealed) throughout the village. These will be incorporated into a computer model of the village’s wastewater system and its problems.
Please could any of you who can identify any of the above please contact us so that we can photograph and identify them. We can do this for you, or you could do it yourselves by photographing the object and identifying its position using the What3Words app which is free to download to your smartphone.
You can contact us, either to send in your photograph and What3Words reference, or to ask us to do it for you by emailing lowerwaiteslane@gmail.com
Thank you in advance for helping to clean up our village and its environment for us, our families, and future generations.
