Hi everyone
163 years (almost to the day) since Charles Dickens read extracts from his “Christmas Carol” at a Music Hall in Hastings, he (or somebody looking remarkably like him) returns to the area to narrate this well-loved story at Fairlight Village Hall.
Yes, the Fairlight Players will be staging this wonderful play between 7th and 9th November 2024 and, if you are half as excited by the prospect as Ann Hohenkerk, you should be in for a real treat.
Ann, along with co-conspirator Giselle Youseman, will be directing this play for us, and they already have plenty of ideas to make it an absolute feast for the senses.
As always, the preparation starts some months before the event, with a familiarisation evening on July 11th and auditions one week later.
A fairly large cast with a wide range of ages gives ample opportunities for involvement, both for the more experienced thespian, and for those thinking about treading the boards for the first time.
And, of course, a substantial team is required behind the scenes to make the show happen.
The attached poster gives more details. If you would like to be involved in any way, please come along and say “hello”.
With best wishes
Keith
