The Fairlight Residents Association was founded in 1948 and membership is open to all residents within the Parish of Fairlight.
The aims of the association
- To monitor and safeguard the interests of all members
- To aid in the efficient and economical management of Fairlight Parish
- To offer assistance, advice and information on matters affecting members by the most appropriate means
- To encourage interest and support in local affairs and activities
The Association is strictly non-political.
The District Councils register of planning applications is regularly inspected and the committee’s views are expressed to the District Council Planning committee if any issues are apparent.
The Association holds an annual AGM (in May) where officers and committee members are elected/re-elected to committee roles. The meeting is held in the village hall and all Association members are encouraged to attend.
Joining the Association
If you wish to join the Fairlight Residents’ Association please contact the Membership Secretary (see FRA Committee). Membership is currently only £8 per annum.
Membership of the Association includes receipt of a quarterly glossy magazine, the Fairlight News, which gets delivered direct to your door every March, June, September and December and also includes inclusion in the FRA Email Scheme should you register. (see Fairlight Email Scheme)
The Fairlight News includes useful telephone numbers, emergency contact numbers, information on various clubs and their activities in the village, forthcoming activities and other items of local interest.
Please feel free to contact the Membership Secretary if you would like to have a chat before making a decision.
In addition we are always on the lookout for new committee members to keep the FRA fresh and alive.
We do hope you will be interested in joining the association either as a member or as a committee member.
We very much look forward to hearing from you.
